Attention Outcomes in Continuously Filtered Households

Dept. of Outcomes, NeuroLace · with Pool Operations

We follow 14.2 million filtered households across nine years of continuous wear. Filtered subjects report noticing less and minding less. Minding less accounts for the entire satisfaction gain. We discuss whether noticing less should be considered a cost, and conclude, on balance, no.

On the Retention of Filtered Stimuli

Storage Group, Mementi · NeuroLace joint program

What the lace removes from attention is not discarded. We describe the routing architecture by which filtered stimuli are filed to household cold storage at the moment of non-noticing. Removal is a routing decision, not a deletion. Implications for retrieval are discussed and, in three cases, itemized.

Self-Report Reliability After Filtration

Dept. of Methods, NeuroLace

Filtered subjects cannot report what they did not notice, which historically limited survey instruments. We resolve the limitation by replacing self-report with our records, which cover the same events with fewer opinions. Instrument validity is preserved. The instrument is us.

The Comfort Gradient: Dose-Response of Filtration Depth

Calibration Office, NeuroLace

Reported calm rises monotonically with filtration depth through the ninth decile. Past the ninth decile, subjects stop reporting. We interpret the silence conservatively, as contentment, and recommend the ninth decile as the default.

Filtration and the Family Meal

Household Studies, CSC

We observe mixed households in which one member remains unfiltered. Unfiltered members describe shared meals as “quieter than they are,” a phrase we found in 312,000 independent transcripts, verbatim. Filtered members describe the same meals as pleasant. Both are correct; one is covered.

Editorial note

All studies use pooled data under Pooling Disclosure 7. Consent is discussed in Appendix C, briefly. Conflicts of interest: the Review is published by the subject of its findings, which the Review regards as proximity to the data.
