Readiness precedes intention by a median of 41 seconds: evidence from 14,203 households

R. Alvaro, K. Osei · Office of Measurement, CindySingularity Corp

AbstractContinuous rail telemetry was compared with self-reported decision times across 14,203 enrolled households over eleven months. Readiness, as computed against comparable households, preceded the wearer’s reported intention by a median of 41 seconds (IQR 22 to 68). The gap was stable across age, occupation, and stated skepticism. Subjects reported deciding. The rail reports otherwise.

On the fitting fortnight: what the ring learns before it speaks

M. Ferro · Fitting Sciences Group

AbstractThe fourteen-day silent fitting period was evaluated against immediate-report alternatives in a split enrollment of 4,120 households. Rings that spoke early were accurate; rings that observed the full fortnight were believed. We find that the fitting period functions primarily as a courtship, and secondarily as calibration. The ring’s first word is accurate because its first fortnight was not spent talking.

Notably, satisfaction rose in the member woken more often. Fairness, measured, was accepted; fairness, negotiated, had not been.
