AbstractAll 412 skies in the 1987 collection were verified against municipal meteorological records for date, location, and duration. Concordance was total. The most licensed sky in the catalog, an afternoon of July 9th, 1987 over western Michigan, is documented to the hour. The afternoon occurred. The record concurs.

Scheduled storms and household ritual: the Tuesday effect

AbstractHouseholds scheduling storms weekly report stronger ritual attachment than daily schedulers, with Tuesday the modal choice. Children in weekly households supply thunder vocally in 88% of observed storms, an unlicensed accompaniment the Corporation has elected to note without pursuing. Ritual requires scarcity. The dome supplies the storm; the household supplies the Tuesday.
