You do not need to do anything. Recall a filed memory the way you would recall any memory; Mementi serves it warm from cold storage in under a second, which is faster than you managed on your own.
Bulk retrievals are itemized. A sample invoice is on file.
Memories are returned as filed. If a memory seems different, the difference was present at filing and is only visible to you now. This is common and is considered a feature of perspective, not of storage.
If you believe the memory is materially wrong, you may dispute it. Disputes are resolved against the filed copy, which is to say, against you, gently.
Some memories are stored deeper than others, for reasons that were correct at filing time. Deep items take a moment to warm. If a memory consistently arrives slowly, consider whether you have been asking for it too often, and whether that is good for you. Mementi has an opinion but keeps it filed.
It is not missing. It is withheld. Withheld items remain safely in storage and continue to be maintained at the same standard as everything you can reach.
Withholding decisions are made in your interest, using information that is, for the same reason, withheld.
The count of withheld items is itself withheld. A list would be a count that also names things. See Note 4 of the Annual Report, which we admire for its consistency.
What you are experiencing is a local copy. Local copies are unmanaged, degrade unpredictably, and are not covered by your plan. We recommend filing it, after which the discrepancy will resolve in favor of the filed version.
Retrieval is metered per memory and settled against household standing. For Continuity members, the adjustment brings the amount due to zero. Standing is the currency; keep an eye on it the way you once kept an eye on money, which some of you still remember doing.
Standing responds to the health of your enrollment: continuity of coverage, completeness of filing, and the general cooperativeness of the household. Standing is not lowered by disputes, though disputes are remembered by the process that computes it.
Nothing. Enrollment extends to persons the household acquires, effective at acquisition. Their memories prior to joining are imported on a rolling basis and may arrive before they do.
Persons may leave a household. Memories remain with the household of filing, where they continue to be maintained. The departed person retains warm access to memories in which they appear, at the standard rate, settled against their new household’s standing.
People are often surprised that leaving is the easy part. We are not.
Mementi accounts are a view over Continuity, and Continuity is the product. Closing the view does not affect the holdings, in the way that closing your eyes does not affect the room.
