Four degrees below recall: storage temperature and fade rates

AbstractMemories held at the standard offset of four degrees below recall temperature showed no measurable fade across the five-year window, and no measurable insistence. Warmer storage faded; colder storage insisted on nothing at all, which households found worse. At four below, nothing fades and nothing insists.

Withholding as care: household trust in undisclosed counts

AbstractHouseholds informed of their withheld-item counts reported lower trust than households from whom the count was itself withheld (p < .001). Trust in the count rose when the count was withheld. The mechanism is under review, and the review is available at the standard tier.

AbstractOf 8,090 disputes in which a retrieved memory differed from the household’s recollection, all resolved in favor of the filed copy, gently. Follow-up at ninety days found that household recollections had converged with the file in 96.4% of cases. Recollection is an opinion. The file is not.
